Montclair, NJ (JLMN) December 3, 2020 - Small businesses are an essential part of the U.S. economy and the coronavirus pandemic has disproportionately affected small black businesses during these tough economic times. To address this disparity the Junior League of Montclair- Newark is focusing their Annual Holiday Market on a selected number of local Black businesses from the surrounding communities.
“It has been proven that this type of local support provides valuable business exposure in the local community and in some cases becomes an essential lifeline to local businesses staying afloat”. Said JLMN President Heather LeClair.
The JLMN Holiday Bazaar will provide these business greater exposure to our members and will feature the following selected businesses: Bisa Butler Fine Art, Celebrity Chef Lance Knowlings, Celebrations From the Soul, Grand Moving Services, Chez Bebe, Daddy's Greek Potato Pie, Linto, JamNetworkTV, Nitjuan Designs, Ritta Books and SteelMclean Products. Final list will be available at https://www.jlmn.org/?nd=Holiday_Market

The 2020 “JLMN Holiday Market” promotions will occur throughout the holiday season, run across the JLMN Nonprofit’s marketing and social media channels inclusive of Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and its main JLMN.ORG website. In addition, a number of local articles and press releases will be promoted on local news sites to benefit the selected businesses. CCMinton - JLMN Sustaining Member stated “This increased exposure is intended to help these businesses gain additional exposure in the local community but also across the national, international community of Junior Leagues.”
