John Lee is an American bassist, Grammy-winning record producer, and audio engineer. His impressive career as a bassist began in 1970, and he has collaborated with renowned artists such as Dizzy Gillespie, Max Roach, Sonny Rollins, McCoy Tyner, and Aretha Franklin. Lee’s work extends beyond playing the bass; he has produced over 60 albums and CDs and recorded and mixed more than 100 albums and CDs as a recording engineer1. Notably, he won a Grammy in 2019 for his work on the album “Jazz Batá 2” by Cuban pianist Chucho Valdés
