Kiwanis Club seeking donations for improvements at Isaiah House
They want to address the improvement and modernization of the kitchen at the Isaiah House in East Orange

The South Orange-Maplewood Kiwanis Club has voted to make the Isaiah House our 2018-2019 emphasis project.
Specifically, they want to address the improvement and modernization of the kitchen at the Isaiah House in East Orange.
The Isaiah House in East Orange is a homeless shelter that houses nearly 180 families per year, over 100 of which are teens or young adults. Their kitchen, which is used to serve over 300 meals per day, is in desperate need of improvement.

In the immediate term, the South Orange-Maplewood Kiwanis Club is looking to replace two 30-year-old ovens that only marginally function.
Over the long term, we plan to further enhance the kitchen with new equipment and other improvements. In so doing, we are addressing hunger and helping children reach their full potential at a location three miles from South Orange and Maplewood (and one that serves some homeless from these communities). They also plan to have drives for clothing and other supplies for the Isaiah House, and conduct hands on service for them.

Kids Need Kiwanis. Kids are curious, lovable and hilarious. They are also wild, impatient and vulnerable. Kiwanis is looking out for kids in every corner of the globe with over 600,000 volunteers who serve their communities through local clubs. They are generous with our time. They are creative with our ideas. They are passionate about making a difference. And they have fun along the way.
