We can’t stop the challenges of life but we can dedicate time when our children are young to set them up for success with the proper tools before problems arise in middle, high school and beyond.
Children and parents learning The 12 Cs together creates a common vocabulary that participants can use to continue the conversations at home. The 12 Cs become part of the child’s life toolbox so they are better equipped and prepared to handle future obstacles when they are on their own.

I participated in a program and one of the exercises was to share what makes your service/product unique and different from what others are offering. What is your special sauce? I thought a lot about this and decided there are 6 unique ingredients that makes my special sauce.
Special sauce + Parents and children learning while having fun together =
Our yummy children become even yummier.
Participants can find their own special sauce with the help of The 12 Cs. Children will fill their toolbox with life tools to help them thrive and succeed today and always. Find out the 6 ingredients below and how you can make your own special sauce.
Ingredient #1:
My program reviews 12 life tools that all start with the letter C so they are easy-to-remember and creates a consistent vocabulary between parents and children. The workshop is the starting point for using The 12 Cs as the family’s common language to openly discuss life obstacles and adversities at home. The goal is for parents and children to use this consistent vocabulary throughout childhood, tweens and teens so the child’s toolbox is full with The 12 Cs. They then can pull any of The 12 Cs from their toolbox as needed when they are on their own.
Ingredient #2:
The characters Green Glory and Red Rant are used throughout the book and workshop discussing strategies of how to stop negative thinking and how to improve positive thinking. Positive Green Glory (life helper) is on one side of your head telling you things like, “You can do it” and “Keep trying and you’ll figure it out.” Negative Red Rant (life hurter) is on the other side of your head telling you things like, “Give up because you’ll never get it” and “No one likes you.” The workshops create awareness of this inner voice/self-talk and gives children the tools and power to listen to Green Glory and stop Red Rant from bullying their thoughts.
Ingredient #3:
My book and workshops are for both boys AND girls. There are many programs for girls but not many for boys so this program allows everyone to openly discuss their struggles in a safe environment and be empathetic to what both genders are going through.
Ingredient #4:
Not only will children benefit from this program but adults will benefit as well. I began The 12 Cs as a checklist of sorts to make sure I was being the best mother possible by teaching my child all the necessary life tools to thrive. While I was teaching and living The 12 Cs with her I found myself using them. And then more often and now I use them all the time. They help me get me through rough patches much quicker than sleeping on it.Ingredient #5:
Workshops are led by author of The Adventures of Ooga and Zeeta, researcher and creator of The 12 Cs and Life Tools Workshop andmother of two young children who has first-hand experience of the struggles of young children.
Ingredient #6:
During the workshops, relatable stories from my book are read to bring The 12 Cs to life. There are tons of fun activities to keep everyone engaged and wanting to come back week after week. Activities include role-playing, arts and crafts, games, music, dancing and more. The biggest obstacle of the workshop is getting through all the lessons because the kids love participating, asking questions and sharing ideas in a safe and friendly environment.
