Man Tried To Steal Vehicle From Car Wash In The Oranges: Police
South Orange police charged a West Orange man with attempted auto theft after he allegedly tried to steal a vehicle from a car wash.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — South Orange police charged a West Orange man with attempted auto theft after he allegedly tried to steal a vehicle from a car wash on Irvington Avenue earlier this month, authorities said.
According to the South Orange Police Department, officers responded to the Cleanway Car Wash around 10:30 a.m. on April 7 after getting a call from workers that they apprehended a man who tried to steal a vehicle from the facility.
The employees detained the alleged car thief until police arrived on the scene and took custody of him, police said.

South Orange police later identified the suspect as Sean Carr, 30, of West Orange. According to police, Carr became “combative” with officers during the booking process and had to be “brought under control.”
Carr was also charged with possession of CDS and CDS paraphernalia after a search of his person, police said.
