Man's Car Stolen As Son Watched In South Orange

Victim was visiting relatives in the Village when his BMW was taken.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - A Wyckoff resident visiting family on Sunday saw his car stolen as his son watched, according to the South Orange Police Department.

According to authorities, the victim reported that at approximately 1:50 p.m. someone stole his 2017 BMW while he was visiting family on Harding Drive. The victim's son stated he saw the vehicle drive off northbound on Harding Drive but could not see the person involved, police said.

Inside the vehicle was a piece of luggage and a purse which contained several electronic devices, iPad, iPhone, Kindle, cash, a check book, identification and multiple credit cards, police said.
