Millburn, NJ — Mt. Zion AME Church is set to ignite the sanctuary with an extraordinary morning of music, ministry, and community as contemporary jazz star Lin Rountree headlines Soulful Sunday on January 18 at 11:30 AM. Widely known as “The Soul‑Trumpeter,” Rountree brings an acclaimed career that includes nine solo albums, 24 Billboard Top 25 singles, and five #1 Billboard hits, making him one of today’s most celebrated voices in contemporary jazz.

Rountree will be joined by two powerhouse artists: vocalist Lynette Sheard, known for her dynamic stage presence and soulful versatility, and pianist Phil Bingham, a master musician whose artistry bridges gospel, jazz, and classical traditions.


This special worship experience will be led by Rev. Eyesha K. Marable, an ordained Itinerant Elder, Pastor of Mt. Zion AME Church, and Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement at NJPAC. Rev. Marable is nationally recognized for her groundbreaking work in arts‑in‑ministry, choreography, and cultural leadership, inspiring communities across the country through her creative and spiritual vision.
