Montclair Authors Night

Montclair Library Happening - Sat Nov 7th – 4-5 pm - Meet local authors Jonah Kruvant, Jason Martin, Ivette Mendez, & Stuart O'Brien.

Dr. Jason Martin, Shamanic Healer and former French professor, is the author of ‘Voluptua,’ an erotic fiction novel about a female professor’s odyssey into the world of shamans and Ayahuasca. His second book, ‘Ayahuasca Nights,’ is Jason’s memoir and tells the story of his own Ayahuasca journey.

Freelance writer, former Star Ledger reporter, and Yoga instructor, are just a few of Ivette Mendez’s areas of expertise. With ‘A Day in the Life of La Gatita de Oro in Apt 6J’ she, along with illustrator brother Carlos Mendez, has created an enchanting addition to the world of diverse children’s literature. The story of a tiny yellow cat who salsa dances all day while her mistress thinks she is loafing is sure to delight young (and old) audiences everywhere.

Stuart O’Brien’s ‘Wilwood,’ named after Montclair’s own Wildwood Ave. is a World War 2 historical/romance that tells a story based on fact in honor of a childhood Montclair friend who enlisted in the Marines during WW2 and died at the Battle of Saipan. O’Brien is 91 years young, and this is his first published work, but by no means his first piece of writing.

Jonah Kruvant describes himself as a teacher, performer, student of the world, and life-long writer. His sci fi book, ‘The Last Book Ever Written,’ takes the reader to a world of the future where books have been outlawed. It’s a society where all citizens have computerized chips in their brains and insert needles into their veins to enter a virtual reality. G <t
