NCMC Alchemical Recycling Meditation Mini-Retreat with Kazi
Sun., July 19th | 10am - 1:30pm | A unique silent retreat for all levels | Sitting and moving meditation using qi gong forms | $15 suggested

About the retreat: Alchemical Recycling Meditation is the process of transforming our mundane experiences into compassionate, conscientious consciousness. When we realize that everything we experience in life is sacred, issues such as our junk-habits, errors, and regrets become the raw materials for self-actualization.
Kazi will take us masterfully through cycles of meditation, alternating between motion and stillness using tai-chi and qi-gong techniques. Doing so, the students can quickly experience the potential of this transformation process toward self-actualization. Sitting, walking, standing, and rhythmic motion meditation will be explored.
This Newark Community Meditation Center mini-retreat is appropriate for beginners and advanced students 18 years of age and older. Students are required to attend the entire retreat. Vegetarian lunch is included, as is the beautiful setting of the spacious art center!
