New York Fried Chicken Opens

After months of renovations in the site of the former Barrel's Hot Dogs, New York Fried Chicken is open for business as of last Thursday.

The eatery has picnic tables outside and seating indoors and has offerings like gyros and subs in addition to the obvious fried chicken and buffalo wings.

This is the first restaurant for owner/manager Ahmad Bashir of Avenel, NJ, who said he wanted to open the business in South Orange because "it's a clean, nice place."
