Oct. 23: Wall Street Journal Columnist Bret Stephens to Speak at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel

Will address Post-Obama Middle East as Part of Reform Synagogue's Shabbat, Scholar and Supper Series

Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel (TSTI) in South Orange will host Wall Street Journal Columnist Bret Stephens at a service and dinner on Friday, Oct. 23, 2015. Stephens will address the community on the “Post-Obama Middle East.” There will be a 6 p.m. Shabbat worship service during which Stephens will give some remarks; his presentation will continue at a dinner following the service. The service and dinner/program are open to the public; registration and a fee are required for the dinner.

Stephens writes “Global View,” the foreign-affairs column of the Wall Street Journal, for which he was awarded the 2013 Pulitzer Prize for distinguished commentary. He is the Journal’s deputy editorial-page editor, responsible for the opinion pages of the paper’s sister editions in Europe and Asia, as well as a member of the Journal’s editorial board. He is also a regular panelist on the Journal Editorial Report, a political talk show carried nationally by the Fox News Channel. In November 2014, Sentinel Books published his first book, “America in Retreat: The New Isolationism and the Coming Global Disorder.”
