Updated 11:30 a.m. NJ Transit and Millburn police are investigating the death of a woman early Tuesday morning on the tracks just west of the Short Hills train station that is believed to be a suicide.

"She did not attempt to move as the train approached," Carroll said.

Carroll said it will likely be tomorrow before NJ Transit police release the name and hometown of the woman. The cause of death and whether the incident is a suicide will be made by the medical examiner’s office, Carroll said.
