Smashed car window, stolen bicycle and an arrest in the case of a jewelry theft

In addition to a  that  he was robbed at gunpoint on South Orange Avenue near the Seton Hall entrance around 11:10 p.m. on Tuesday, the following crimes were also reported in South Orange:

 March 14, 2011, Criminal Mischief -- A South Orange resident reported to police that at 9:45 p.m. he discovered that while his vehicle was parked in the Mountain train station someone smashed in his driver's side window. There were no other signs of damage to his vehicle.

 March 14, 2011, Theft --A South Orange resident told police that at approximately 9 a.m. he  locked his bicycle up at the main train station and when he returned to it at 7 p.m. he discovered it had been stolen. The bicycle is a blue Trek mountain bike.

March 14, 2011, Theft/Arrest – Detectives charged and arrested 29-year-old Itala Ferreira of Newark with theft, alleging that she stole jewelry from a Hillside Place residence, where she was employed as a housekeeper by the victim.
