Police Blotter: Breaking and Entering on Irvington Ave.
Someone lifted an entire cash register from an Irvington Avenue business.
Saturday, April 24:
- At about 3 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to University Sub Shop, where the rear door and window were open. Someone had entered the premises and took $20 posted on the wall, as well as the cash register, and attempted to remove a flat-screen TV. Officers had a description of the perpetrator from a caller and found parts of the register on Ward Place and behind a residence on that street. They set up a perimeter and called for a K-9 unit but were unable to apprehend a suspect.
- A Valley Street resident reported that the hood of his 2008 BMW 328 had been scratched up overnight while the car was in his building's parking lot.
Sunday, April 25:
- A 2004 Chevy Trailblazer parked in a Vose Avenue lot was broken into overnight via a smashed window. A radar detector was stolen, and someone also tried to take a DVD stereo receiver and GPS, damaging the front screen.

- A Reynolds Place resident reported that his 2003 Ford Explorer had been broken into overnight while parked in his driveway. His wallet, containing his driver's license, credit cards and $10 in cash, was taken. He later informed police headquarters that a neighbor had found his wallet in the street, and only the cash was missing.
