Police Blotter: Car Thefts Continue, Little League Field Damaged
The following arrest information was supplied by the South Orange Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
- A Highland Road resident said sometime during the overnight hours of Dec. 9, someone entered two vehicles, a 2010 Chevy and a 2011 Volkswagen, which were parked in the driveway, and removed three pairs of designer sunglasses.
- A Beech Spring Road resident said sometime during the overnight hours of Dec. 9, someone entered her unlocked 2003 Hyundai and removed a GPS.
- Sometime between Dec. 9 and Dec. 11, someone damaged the bullpen fencing to the Little League field located in Meadowlands Park. The person apparently used a vehicle to damage the fencing as small vehicle debris was located in the area of the damage.
- A Second Street resident reported sometime between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Dec. 11, someone entered her home via an unlocked rear sliding door and stole a Mac laptop, which was on the kitchen table. No other items were reported stolen and it appears the person ventured no further then the kitchen area.
- A Seton Hall University student said sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Dec. 12, someone removed the portable roof rack from on top of his 2006 Toyota. The car was parked on campus in the parking deck at the time of the incident.
- Avery Gorman, a Princeton resident and Seton Hall University student, was arrested on Dec. 13 at approximately 1:20 a.m. after confronting an officer in the center of town in both a threatening and combative manner. Gorman, who appeared to have been consuming alcohol, was placed under arrest at the scene and processed.
