Police Blotter: Home Condemned on Lindsley Ave.

The owner is believed to be deceased.

On Thursday, March 11, South Orange police responded to an address on Lindsley Avenue to check on the well-being of the 76-year-old owner. They didn't find him at home and then notified the Health Department, Building Department and the Fire Department because of the condition of the home, which was subsequently condemned.

According to Village Administrator John Gross, officials have information that the owner is dead, though it hasn't been confirmed by his family. He noted that the house has a history of code issues.
