Police Blotter: House Egged, Bike Stolen

A Hall Court house was egged on Friday night.

Thursday, June 10:

  • A Waverly Place resident reported hearing glass break around 10 p.m. and subsequently discovered that one of her floodlights had been broken.

Sunday, June 13:

  • A mountain bike was reported stolen from the Our Lady of Sorrows Church garage. Someone had broken the glass from a side window and placed it on the grass behind the garage before breaking in.

  • A Seton Hall security guard reported seeing a black male in his 50s attempt to cut the lock on her Trek mountain bike at about 11 p.m. She started yelling at the man, who fled south on Ward Place.

Friday, June 18:

  • The rear hatch window of a 2007 Ford Explorer parked in the South Orange Middle School lot was broken and the windshield wiper pulled off, but nothing else was reported missing.
