Police Blotter: Juveniles Taken Into Custody This Weekend
A look at recent police activity

After pledging “zero tolerance” for quality-of-life offenses, SOPD made several arrests this weekend.
One juvenile male was taken into custody for disorderly conduct and obstructing the flow of traffic on Feb. 18, at approximately 9:30 p.m., when he failed to leave New York Fried Chicken, blocking the doorway and not letting others through.
Three juveniles were taken into custody when they were found vandalizing the main train station by using a box cutter and marker on the benches on Feb. 20 at approximately 8:30 p.m.

Lennox Pierre, 43, of East Orange was arrested on Feb. 22 at 9 p.m., when police responded to the scene of a hit and run on Centre St. The suspect vehicle, driven by Pierre, was found in East Orange. Pierre was also charged with drunken driving.
A Reynolds Pl. resident stated that sometime during the night of Feb. 21, someone removed a pink Dell lap Top computer from the trunk of same. The victim stated that her vehicle was locked. There were no signs of physical force on the vehicle.

Regnald Brown, 44, of Irvington resident was arrested on Feb. 20 at approximately 10 a.m. for shoplifting approximately $256.00 worth of merchandise from Pathmark.
Thomas Sciortino, 21, of Upper Saddle River was arrested on Feb. 18 at approximately 2:10 a.m. for suspicion of drunken driving.
Kevin Redd, 41, of Avenel, was arrested on Feb. 17 at Pathmark, after he was discovered concealing several bottles of cough medicine on his person.
