Police Blotter: Multiple Car Break-Ins

The following arrest information was supplied by the South Orange Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • An Irvington Avenue resident stated that sometime between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on November 18 an unknown person(s) had entered her apartment and removed an Apple lap top, a hard drive, a black computer bag, along with a digital camera.  The victim stated that she may have left her apartment door open as there were no signs of a forced entry.  The victim also stated that she saw what she thought was a suspicious looking female in the garage area of her apartment as she was returning home just prior to discovering the burglary.  The person is described as an Asian woman, in her thirties, with a thin build and approximately 5'10" in height.  The victim stated that the woman was carrying a large back pack. 

  • Jacqulane Wood, a 21 year old resident from Camilleus, New York, was arrested on November 19 at approximately 3:30 a.m. for possession of CDS (marijuana) after officers responded to a call of a complaint regarding individuals smoking the drug.  When officers responded to Wood’s apartment located on South Orange Avenue they discovered that she was in possession of marijuana and other drugs.

  • A Turrell Avenue resident stated that sometime during the overnight hours of November 18, an unknown person(s) had entered his unlocked vehicle (2006 Volvo) and removed loose change.

  • A Mountain Drive resident stated that sometime during the overnight hours of November 18, an unknown person(s) had entered his vehicle (2011 Chevy) and removed an iPod and navigation system. There were no signs of a forced entry.

  • A Mountain Drive resident stated that sometime during the overnight hours of November 18, an unknown person(s) had entered two of his vehicles which were parked in his driveway (2011 Honda, 2008 Toyota).  No items were reported stolen
  • A Montague Place resident stated that sometime during the evening hours of November 19, an unknown person(s) had entered her vehicle (2005 Dodge van) and removed loose change.

  • A Richmond Avenue resident stated that sometime during the overnight hours of November 19, an unknown person(s) entered his work truck and removed a GPS unit and a cell phone.

  • A Richmond Avenue resident stated that sometime during the overnight hours of November 19, an unknown person(s) had entered his vehicle (2003 Dodge) and removed approximately two dollars in change from the center console.

  • A Hartford Road resident stated that sometime during the early morning hours of November 19, an unknown person(s) had entered two unlocked vehicles in her driveway (2007 VW, 2004 Honda) and removed twenty dollars in change and a cell phone.

  • A Montague Place resident stated that sometime during the overnight hours of November 19, an unknown person(s) entered his unlocked vehicle (2000 Lincoln).  No items were reported stolen.
