Police Blotter: Theft Arrests

The following arrest information was supplied by the South Orange Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • A Montclair resident reported while his 1994 Jeep was parked on Warwick Avenue between 8 and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 29, someone entered the vehicle and removed a GPS and various banking papers inside the center console.

  • John Telford, 40, of Flanders and Antoine Addison, 26, of East Hanover, were both arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 30, at approximately 10:45 a.m. for outstanding warrants after officers responded to Hot Bagels Abroad concerning a theft. During the investigation, officers discovered both men had outstanding warrants. The men allegedly also ordered food and not paid for it prior to exiting the store.

  • A Willingboro resident reported between 8:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, someone entered his 2004 Honda and removed a GPS and a camera while it was parked on the Seton Hall University campus. It appears the person gained entry to the vehicle by damaging the driver's side door lock.

  • Carl Drummer, 49, of Newark, was arrested on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at approximately 10 a.m. for shoplifting from the Rite Aid after an officer saw Drummer exit the store and had recognized him from previous thefts. During the investigation, police discovered Drummer had outstanding warrants issued for his arrest out of South Orange. Drummer was arrested for shoplifting from the store.

  • An Irvington Avenue resident reported between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1, his residence was burglarized. Someone entered the residence and removed a laptop computer and a 32" television from an upstairs bedroom. The person also appears to have rummaged through other bedrooms as well. Entry appears to have been gained by breaking a small window on the rear door.
