A trespassing arrest at Seton Hall and two incidences of auto theft top the police blotter this week.

  • Two bicycles—a red and silver Jeep and a black Mongoose—were stolen from a Redmond Road garage between Sunday, June 7, and Tuesday, June 9.
  • A 2005 Toyota Prius parked in a Remond Road driveway was broken into between Monday, June 8, and Tuesday, June 9, and a GPS unit and $10 in change were taken. There were no signs of forced entry.

Thursday, June 11:

  • Ryan Manning, 22, of West Orange, was arrested after a Seton Hall security manager reported at about 12:30 a.m. that he had been spotted at Aquinas Hall, though he was notified on Nov. 25, 2008 that he was banned from campus due to a previous incident. He was taken to headquarters, charged with defiant trespassing, given a date to appear in court, and released.
  • A woman who parked her gold 2000 Honda Civic on Fourth Street by Academy Street on Wednesday evening noticed the vehicle missing at about 4 p.m. the following afternoon. When she reported the incident, she was informed that the car had already been recovered by police on Fifth Street earlier that afternoon.
  • The owner of Lee's Cleaners reported that someone broke into the store through a rear window between 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday and 7 a.m. on Thursday. A DVD player valued at $100 and $70 in cash were taken.
  • A silver 1999 Honda Civic parked underneath Church Street condo buildings was stolen between noon on Wednesday and about 7:30 a.m. on Thursday.
