A 44-year-old Newark man was arrested Feb. 25 on an outstanding warrant after police stopped him on Ward Place.

According to South Orange police, Maurice Mckinney was arrested at approximately 8:30 p.m. when he met the description of a suspicious man in the area.

A Newark man was arrested for allegedly shoplifting from a supermarket on Feb. 26, South Orange police said.

Jimmy Williams of Newark was arrested for concealing food inside his clothing at a Pathmark, according to police.

A Kinnelon resident reported someone had used a rock to smash and damage a side mirror of his car, South Orange police said.

The car owner said he had parked his car on Montague Place on the night of Feb. 26. The damage was discovered when he returned to the car.
