Police Reports: Mercedes with Motor Left Running Stolen
A few incidences of criminal mischief, burglary to auto, and a stolen car.

Friday, Feb. 20:
- Between 12:30 p.m. and 12:45 p.m., someone broke the glass of the rear door of an apartment building on South Orange Avenue near the intersection with Fairview Avenue.
Saturday, Feb. 21:
- The driver's side window and windshield of a silver 2006 Audi were smashed in while the car was parked in the municipal lot next to the Rescue Squad in what appeared to be a theft attempt, and the driver's side door lock and ignition were damaged. The owner reported a garage door opener and an EZ pass device stolen. The crime was reported on Saturday morning but could have taken place any time after 6 a.m. on Friday.
- The driver's side door lock of a black 2009 Audi was damaged and the door was scratched up while the car was parked in the driveway of a home on South Ridgewood Road. Nothing was reported stolen.
- Perpetrators broke into a silver 2007 Nissan Murano parked in the driveway of a home on Edgewood Terrace and rifled through the compartments. Nothing was reported stolen.

- A gray 1998 Mercedes Benz was stolen from a home on Varsity Road at about 1:30 p.m. when the owner went back inside the house and left the car with the ignition running to warm it up.
- Perpetrators threw eggs at a home on Turrell Avenue and smashed an antique window on the second floor around 2 p.m.
Monday, Feb. 23:
- A resident of Milton Place reported that a neighbor informed him that three men in a black BMW pulled up behind his car—also a black BMW—at around 7:30 p.m., and two of the men exited their car and approached his. They then re-entered the car and took off down Cameron Road. The car's owner noticed damage to the driver's side door lock.
