Police Reports: Woman Robbed at Vose Ave. Party
A Vose Avenue is robbed by a partygoer, and two Waverly Place residents were held up at gunpoint but refused to hand over their money.

Monday, March 30:
- Two brothers standing in front of their Waverly Place residence were approached by two unknown males, who produced a handgun and attempted to rob them. The brothers refused and fled into their home, while the would-be thieves took off on foot. Det. Michael Bradley is investigating.
- The driver's side door lock of a black 2008 Nissan Altima parked in municipal lot 5 was damaged with a screwdriver.
Sunday, March 29:
- Residents of a Vose Avenue apartment had a party for about 30 people Saturday night, and a Seton Hall student residing there was awakened around 6:05 a.m. by a man who had been a guest rummaging through her purse. She screamed, and the man threw her down and fled with cash and some personal belongings. Det. Brian McGuire conducted an investigation that led to the arrest of 22-year-old Jordan Agho of Maplewood, who was charged with robbery and released on bail.

- A Mercer Place resident loading up her car in the driveway in the morning went inside and noticed the passenger-side rear door was completely open when she came outside again. She discovered that her company laptop had been taken.
- Perpetrators attempted to break into a Montrose Avenue home by throwing a rock through the back door window and then attempting to break the lock with a broom handle between 4:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. Det. Garrett is investigating.
Wednesday, March 25:
- A car parked on Mayhew Court in South Orange was burglarized in the morning, and a Magellan-brand GPS system, an XM in-dash radio and a Bluetooth phone were stolen. The woman who reported the crime said the doors had been locked, but no forced entry was found.
- A 3" drain pipe and a glass light cover on the 4th Street side of a Valley Street building were broken.

- A taxi driver who picked up a female passenger in her 40s at the Elizabeth train station reported that the passenger instructed him to take her to the South Orange Rite Aid but then had him stop at Pathmark just before noon and took off down Arnold Terrace without paying her fare. There was no response at the door of the address the driver indicated.
- A multi-family home on Valley Street was broken into between 11 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., and a passport and a stereo valued at $100 were taken. The perpetrator gained access by breaking a first-floor window, but damage to a side-door window was also found.
- A beige 2006 Infinity G35 parked in municipal lot 3 was broken into, and a wallet containing several credit cards and personal papers was taken.
Monday, March 23:
- The driver's side door lock and handle of a black 2008 Infinity M35 parked in a municipal lot were damaged.
- The driver's side window of a brown 2003 Mercedes Benz CL5 was cracked while parked in municipal lot 7 on Third Street.
