Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School to Host The Maker Experience

The Maker Experience is project-based and students will learn science, mathematics and engineering skills.

This summer, the Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston, NJ is offering a 3-week summer camp experience for high school students in innovation, invention, project building and design. The Maker Experience is an intense 3-week summer program for high school students to learn problem solving and how to make “things that work” and is open to the outside community.

The Maker Experience is project-based and students will learn science, mathematics and engineering skills along the way. They will learn the important gateway skills that are critical for most projects including electronics, circuitry, programming and data analysis as well as the underlying scientific foundation for their projects. The Maker Experience is a mix of lessons and hands-on training, with an emphasis on individual creativity and project design. Student projects involve actual physical construction of devices.

Over the course of the 3-week program, students will build an initial pre-designed project of their choice and a second project of their own design, where they will be tasked with taking a project from concept to completion.
