Scam Alert Goes Out to Businesses

Main Street South Orange is circulating the following alert, sent out by Seton Hall:

It has come to our attention that a salesman from "American Youth Corps, Inc." or "Student Relations, Inc." from Delray Beach, Florida is soliciting support for calendar advertisements from local churches and businesses door to door within South Orange. The salesman is claiming that he and "American Youth Corps, Inc." or "Student Relations, Inc." are associated with Seton Hall University and men's basketball coach Bobby Gonzalez. Please be aware that Seton Hall University and Coach Gonzalez do not have a contract or arrangement with this salesman and/or either of these companies and they are not authorized to act on our behalf.

We wanted to alert you to "American Youth Corps, Inc." or "Student Relations, Inc.'s" possible solicitation. If the salesman and/or either of these companies do reach out to you directly, please contact me at 973-378-9837 or at holly.wojcik@shu.edu.
