Seton Hall Student Mugged Tuesday Night

The student reported that the mugging occurred around 7:30 p.m. near Wilden Place and Eder Terrace.

A Seton Hall student reported being assaulted and robbed while walking in the area of Wilden Place and Eder Terrace on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m., according to an e-mail notification sent out Wednesday to members of the university community.

The student stated that he was walking from campus towards the Ivy Hill Apartments just over the Newark border when two men, described as black males between 170 and 200 pounds wearing dark clothing, approached him from the opposite direction.

As they came approached each other, the men allegedly knocked the student to the ground and physically attacked him, taking his wallet in the process. Both subjects then fled south on foot on Eder Terrace towards Irvington Avenue. The victim was not injured and returned to his residence, where he later called South Orange police to report the incident.
