Seton Hall University Presents The Way of the World

Seton Hall presents The Way of the World, a Restoration Comedy, at SOPAC. Admission is free and open to the public.

On Thursday, October 22, the Seton Hall University College of Communication & the Arts will open its production of The Way of the World by William Congreve, running Oct. 22-25 at the South Orange Performing Arts Center. The show, directed by David Ledoux, officially opens the season and marks the first performance under the newly formed College of Communication & the Arts. Admission is free and open to the public.

The Way of the World is viewed as the perfect example of Restoration Comedy. Its characters—the unforgiving and ultimately pathetic Lady Wishfort, portrayed by freshman Delaney Winslow, the sparring lovers Mirabell and Millamant, portrayed by seniors Matthew Cohrs and Elise Pfail, double-cross each other in the pursuit of love and money. In the end, all get what they deserve. The production also features the talents of junior Zachary Blaisdell and Samantha Scelzo as Mr. & Mrs. Fainall, and sophomore Yvonne Pruit and senior Phillip Cosentino as the comedic duo of Witwood & Petulant.
