SO Teens Brave Cold at JWoww Book Signing

Star of raunchy reality show Jersey Shore, JWoww's first-ever book signing drew 800 cold fans.

Approximately 800 fans packed the crowded  store in Ridgewood in the bitter cold on Tuesday to grab an autographed copy of Jersey Shore cast member Jenni “JWoww” Farley’s new book The Rules According to JWoww. Among them were South Orange teens Lauren and Kaitlin, who were driven to the event by Lauren's mother.  (Lauren's mother declined to give her last name. "You can tell people I'm the crazy mom who drove to Bergen County in rush hour to stand outside," she said.)

The day after the book signing, Lauren told Patch that she thought standing in the cold waiting for JWoww was well worth the result. "Jersey Shore is my favorite show, and she is my favorite on the show," said Lauren. "I had to plan ahead and do homework the night before and then get up early the next day, but it was completely worth the effort."

She was hardly alone in her assessment. “We’re having a very good turnout, the show is very popular,” said store owner Walter Boyer as hundreds of adolescent girls waited their turn to catch the star of the controversial show pose for a picture and exchange a few words. “It’s a younger demographic [today], mostly girls. Normally you’d think there’d be more guys here but it’s about three quarters girls,” he added.

JWoww’s book is a published creation of her own rules to dating and provides tips to her readers how to land “a mint guy”. “I think she’s really upfront about things, she seems personable and realistic about things,” added Fego.

The bronze Long Island girl announced on her Twitter page shortly after the show that she sold out her first book signing and thanked the fans who came out to see her. "Sold out my 1st signing! Unreal! Over 800 people showed up! Thank u to all my fans!!! Love u all!" she wrote while individually thanking fans on their own Twitter pages.

Farley isn't the only cast member of the infamous cast to appear in the locally– promoting his new book, which details how to get the "gym, tan, laundry" work done while avoiding "grenades" (unsavory ladies in his view).

The ab-magnate also had a sizable crowd on a less-than-ideal day of weather (the December Sunday featured torrential downpours) and the two Italian stars have been among the more popular featured authors at Bookends.

Both JWoww and The Situation will be stationed overseas in Italy, the ancestral home of the cast, for the fourth season of the insanely popular show.
