SOMA Democrat Club's Meeting Will Discuss Trump, Environment

SOMADEMS, South Orange and Maplewood's Democratic Club, will hold a general meeting on Oct. 25.

SOMADEMS, South Orange and Maplewood’s Democratic Club, will hold a general meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Maplewood Library, 51 Baker Street. The agenda will feature a discussion on efforts both nationally and locally to "fight back against President Trump’s attacks on the environment."

The free, public meeting will also hear from candidates running for South Orange/Maplewood Board of Education, includean update from the Murphy/Oliver campaign, and discuss funding issues facing local libraries. To RSVP,email info@somadems.com.

“President Trump’s dismantling of environmental regulations and the important campaigns our towns face for governor and Board of Education in November all affect the future of the SOMA community," said SOMDEMS Vice President Larry Hirsch.
