SOMA Studio Tour Preview To Showcase Local Artists At SOPAC
"unveiled26" will offer a first look at artists participating in the 23rd annual tour through Maplewood and South Orange.
MAPLEWOOD, NJ — Maplewood and South Orange artists are getting a turn in the spotlight before this fall’s SOMA Studio Tour.
“unveiled26,” a preview exhibition featuring work by artists from both towns, opens with a free reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, September 17, at the Herb + Milly Iris Gallery at the South Orange Performing Arts Center, One SOPAC Way.
The exhibit will remain on view through Sunday, November 8, offering visitors a first look at artists participating in the 23rd annual SOMA Studio Tour on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8.

According to the organizer’s website, the Studio Tour will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days and feature more than 100 artists.
“The preview is where the magic begins,” curator Jeremy Moss said, calling it an opportunity to meet new artists and experience the community’s creative energy.

This is the fifth year the preview exhibition has accompanied the tour. Residents can RSVP online for the free opening reception.
