South Mountain PTA Begins Annual Coat Drive

It is the time of year when residents begin thinking about ways to help the less fortunate and the PTA of the South Mountain Annex have a good cause to contribute to.  The PTA is holding their annual coat drive from November 14 to December 2 this year.

The PTA would like to collect kids’, men's and women's coats, as well as hats, scarves, hoodies,  gloves and mittens.  The donated coats don't have to be new, they can be gently used. 

Last year, the students collected about 200 coats in its drive.  The coats and other winter apparel will benefit families in our community, the Interfaith Hospitality Network for the Homeless of Essex County and the Annual Jersey Cares Coat Drive.

Donations can be dropped off in the big gift boxes outside the offices of the Big School and Annex.
