South Orange Expands Use Of Mobile Parking Payment

Your days of fishing around on the floorboards to find change for the parking meter may be over, South Orange.

The village will be expanding its use of MobileNOW!, a national parking payment provider, to all on-and-off-street single and multi-space metered spaces throughout the municipality, according to a release.

The payment option was partially deployed in a test run at selected locations earlier this year.

Since inception, consumer adoption and parking revenues have “increased steadily” in South Orange, MobileNOW! claimed in an Aug. 26 press release.

“The South Orange Parking Authority is pleased to partner with MobileNOW! to bring to all of South Orange another convenient payment option,” stated Mark Hartwyk, director of the South Orange Parking Authority.

“After a successful year piloting this program at two train stations, we have now made it available at all meters and pay stations,” Hartwyk added.
