South Orange Man Assaulted With Sharp Object While Walking Dog: Police

South Orange police are seeking a man who allegedly assaulted a man with a sharp object on Vose Avenue.

A South Orange resident walking his dog on Vose Avenue was allegedly assaulted by a man wielding a sharp object on Oct. 5, police reported.

According to the South Orange Police Department, the victim reported that he was walking his dog in the vicinity of Stewart Place around 8:15 p.m., when a man wielding a sharp object assaulted him and fled on foot north on Vose Avenue toward Orange.

The victim described his attacker as a black male about 6 feet 1 inch in height, with a slender build and a raspy voice.

The victim sustained non-life threatening injuries in the assault, police stated.
