South Orange Police Blotter: Stolen Vehicles, Break-Ins
The following arrest information was supplied by the South Orange police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

- A Walton Road resident said sometime 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 16, someone removed jewelry from her master bedroom. The victim said her house is for sale and the theft of jewelry occurred during the open house. The victim said the items were removed from a walk-in closet. The items stolen are valued at $500
- Patrice Golden, 18, of South Orange, was arrested on Feb. 18, at approximately 12:20 a.m. after officers responded to the NJ Transit station on Sloan Street and found Golden smoking marijuana. She was also in possession of an object used to ingest marijuana.
- An Irvington Avenue resident said sometime between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Feb. 19, someone stole his 1994 Jeep, which he had parked in a parking space adjacent to the building located at 307 Irvington Ave.
- A Melrose Place resident said sometime between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb. 19, someone broke into his 2011 Honda by smashing in the driver's side window. The person forced open the glove box and ransacked the vehicle, but no items were removed. The vehicle was parked in the street in front of the residence.
- A Melrose Place resident said sometime between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Feb. 19, someone broke into her 2012 Acura by smashing in the driver's side window. Once inside the vehicle, the person forced open the glove box and removed a GPS from the dashboard. The vehicle was parked on the street in front of the residence.
- The owner of the Fur Salon said on Feb. 20 at 10:42 a.m., two women entered her store and stole a grey mink coat valued at $4,000. The owner said one of the women said that she didn’t feel well and had to immediately use the bathroom. While this interaction was happening, the other woman removed the coat. The women are described as two black women. The younger one was wearing all dark clothing. The other suspect was described as approximately 6-feet tall with a slim build wearing a gray wig and may have been a man. The women fled the store on foot and may have entered a small dark-colored vehicle possibly with New York license plates.
