South Orange Police Blotter: Underage Drinking Arrest, Fights
The following arrest information was supplied by the South Orange police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

- On Feb. 13, a South Orange resident said that at approximately 5 p.m., he was approached by someone on Ward Place with whom he had had a past disagreement. During the confrontation, which involved a scuffle, the victim stated that the subject pulled out a knife. However, the victim was not stabbed. No injuries were reported and the matter is under investigation.
- Gary McArdle, a 23 year old New Brunswick resident, was arrested on Feb. 14, at approximately 4 p.m., after detectives found McArdle on Third St. during an unrelated investigation and were aware that he had an outstanding warrant issued for his arrest out of Maplewood.
- On Feb. 14, at approximately 1 p.m., two female juvenile students that attend the Clark St. School got into a verbal argument which escalated into a physical altercation. No injuries were reported and the school administrators are investigating the matter at this time.
- Joseph Thibodeau, a 20 year old Staten Island N.Y. resident, was arrested on Feb. 16 at approximately 8:30 p.m., after officers assigned to a detail targeting underage drinking saw Thibodeau exit University Liquors on South Orange Ave. in possession of alcohol. Thibodeau appeared to be under the legal age to purchase alcohol and was arrested at the scene without incident.
