South Orange Police Blotter: Underage Drinking, Drug Arrests

The following arrest information was supplied by the South Orange police department. It does not indicate a conviction.

  • A Seton Hall University student said sometime between 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on March 8, someone removed her wallet from a desk in the library.  The wallet was later found in the library, stuffed into a CD rack.  Cash that had been in the wallet was removed.

  • Sean Demor, an 18 year old South Orange resident, was arrested on March 8, at approximately 8:30 p.m., after an officer observed suspicious activity in the area of Holland Rd. and South Orange Ave.  While questioning Demor, the officer discovered that Demor was in possession of marijuana and as a result, Demor was taken into custody without incident and processed accordingly.

  • Three 20 year old Seton Hall University students, Robert Burns, Nyal Rivera, and Brandon Burlew, were arrested on March 8, at approximately 8:40 p.m., after officers saw the three underage subjects purchase liquor from A& D Deli, located on Valley St.  The subjects were arrested without incident while loading the alcohol into the trunk of a vehicle.

  • A West Orange resident said that he parked his 2002 Honda in the NJ Transit lot at 1:30 p.m. on March 9 and when he returned to it at 11:30 p.m., he discovered his windshield had been damaged.
