Latex Gloves and Masks Cannot Be Recycled

Latex gloves and masks are not recyclable materials. Giordano Recycling has had multiple loads contaminated by these products.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, residents are reminded not to dispose of latex gloves and masks in the recycling toters. These items are NOT considered household recycling and should be properly disposed as trash.

Any toter containing unacceptable material that is not recyclable will not be collected. Please visit the Public Works web page for specifics on what material can be placed into your recycling toter for the curbside collection program.
