South Orange Summer Nights Series Returns to Flood’s Hill
The popular outdoor series will feature a diverse lineup of musical acts and movies throughout July and August.
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. — The South Orange Summer Nights concert series is set to return this summer, bringing free live music and movies to Flood’s Hill every Wednesday evening.
Presented by South Orange Village Recreation & Cultural Affairs, in partnership with the Meadowland Park Conservancy and SOPAC, the popular outdoor series will feature a diverse lineup of musical acts and movies throughout July and August.
This year's movie schedule includes:

All movies begin at 7:30 p.m.
- July 1: Essex Funk Soul Collective — Funk, Soul and R&B
- July 8: Forget the Whale — Powerhouse Female Vocals
- July 15: Water Towers — Indie Rock Cover Band
- July 22: The Brooklyners — NYC Reggae and Jamaican Standards
- July 29: Workingman’s Jed — Grateful Dead Cover Band
Each movie night will begin with a Family Dance Party Jam at 7 p.m., followed by the featured film at 8 p.m.

- August 12: Zootopia 2
- August 19: The Goonies
- August 26: The Princess Bride
Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets and enjoy an evening of live entertainment, food trucks, and community fun under the summer sky.
Organizers say the annual series offers a family-friendly atmosphere and a chance for residents and visitors alike to experience a variety of musical genres in one of South Orange’s most scenic outdoor settings.
