South Orange Teen Robbed in Maplewood

A South Orange teen is relieved of his cash by two unknown suspects.

Maplewood police report that a 15-year-old South Orange resident was robbed on Thursday, April 2, near the intersection of Prospect Street and Harvard Avenue. Police say that two black males wearing black and white bandanas and black hooded sweatshirts approached him and demanded money at around 9 p.m.

Although the men did not display weapons, the youth reportedly felt threatened enough to give them the cash he had in his pocket. The pair reportedly fled on foot towards Union. Both are described as tall and in their teenage years, with one described as about 5’11” and the other as 6'.
