South Orange Temple Hosts ‘Drive In Movie’ For Kids
The ballroom at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel became a temporary drive-in movie theater that showed Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cartoons.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ — The ballroom at Temple Sharey Tefilo-Israel in South Orange was transformed into an indoor drive-in movie theater on a recent afternoon.
According to a release from the temple, children from the Reform synagogue’s Iris Family Center for Early Childhood Education decorated cardboard cartons that became their own “cars.” The children then climbed into their creations to enjoy a screening of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse cartoons while munching on healthy concession-style snacks.
The drive-in movie program was developed last year by the school’s director, Carol Paster. Information about the community preschool is available online here.
