2020 Municipal Budget Introduced - Updated Supporting Documents

Public comment and 2nd reading will take place at the Board of Trustee Meeting on Monday, June 8, 2020.

Monday, May 11, 2020, the Board of Trustees introduced the 2020 Municipal Budget with an overall tax levy increase of 2.72 percent. As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and the affect it is having on our Village operations and the community, the Village has changed the originally planned budget. What has been introduced reflects the change in operations and loss of revenue for 2020.

On Tuesday, May 28th, the New Jersey Policeman’s Benevolent Association and the New Jersey Firefighters Mutual Benevolent Association issued a statement in response to our municipal budget and our request for all employees to forgo two percent raises to help balance our budget during this unprecedented global pandemic and to preserve jobs for all employees.
