South Orange's Zach Braff Set for 2014 Broadway Debut
The former 'Scrubs' and 'Garden State' star will perform in a musical adaptation of a Woody Allen film.

South Orange native and Emmy-nominated actor Zach Braff has mastered television and movies and now will take on the Great White Way.
The New York Times Artsbeat blog reports that Braff, who's best known for the ABC television comedy "Scrubs" and for writing and starring in the hit indie film "Garden State," will make his Broadway debut next year in a musical version of Woody Allen's 1994 movie "Bullets Over Broadway."
Braff, 38, will portray an up-and-coming playwright in Roaring 20s Manhattan. Casting is still under way, but Artsbeat noted that former "Sopranos" actor Vincent Pastore will be part of the ensemble playing a mob boss.
"Bullets Over Broadway" is set to start preview performances at New York's St. James Theater on March 11. Opening night is scheduled for April 10.
