Still Time To Help SOPAC Soar In South Orange

'Entertaining the Future' fundraiser ends Oct. 26.

SOUTH ORANGE, NJ - With more than 95 percent of their $1.2 million campaign goal met, the South Orange Performing Arts Center is asking for help reaching the finish line with a tax-deductible contribution by Oct. 26.

According to their website, SOPAC is a thriving arts center where internationally renowned artists love to perform and audiences experience the joy of live entertainment. But yet to truly realize SOPAC’s successful future, and its long term financial stability, SOPAC must have a cash reserve, and from that the "Entertaining the Future" campaign was formed.

Funds from the Entertaining the Future campaign will enable SOPAC to continue to present world-class artists, officials said. With these funds, the Board of Governors has established the Support & Targeted Artist Reserve — STAR Fund. With the creation of the STAR Fund, SOPAC has a bulwark against economic uncertainties and the capacity to book more world-class artists.
