Wilden Place Robbery Suspect Arrested

A suspect is in custody

Tywan Silvers, 23, of Newark, was arrested by the  detective bureau on Wednesday after an investigation revealed he was the involved in an armed robbery which occurred on Wilden Place on March 31. He was arrested at his home on Palm Street in Newark and  is currently being held in the Essex County Jail. 

The two victims were Seton Hall students who were robbed at approximately 11:55 p.m. that night. According to officials, Silvers is being charged with armed robbery, conspiracy, possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes.
