You Can Save A Life-- A Holiday Blood Drive
Become a blood buddy. Here is that information about the next local blood drive. You an donate blood every 56 days.
There is a shortage of life-saving blood. On December 20 from 9:30 am until 3:00 pm the bloodmobile will be in the South Orange Public Library parking lot. You don’t need a special reason to give blood.
You just need your own reason.
- Some of us give blood because we were asked by a friend.
- Some know that a family member or a friend might need blood some day.
- Some believe it is the right thing we do.
Whatever your reason, the need is constant and your contribution is important for a healthy and reliable blood supply. And you’ll feel good knowing you’ve helped change a life.

To ensure the safety of blood donation for both donors and recipients, all volunteer blood donors must be evaluated to determine their eligibility to give blood. The final determination will be made on the day of the donation at the blood drive or blood donation center. If you were deferred from donating in the past, you may be able to donate again.
Blood Donors Must:
- Be in good general health and feeling well*
- Be at least 17-years-old in most states, or 16-years-old with parental consent
- Weigh at least 110 lbs.
Additional weight requirements apply for donors 18-years-old and younger and all high school donors.
By giving you may save a life!
