About 3,000 gallons of jet fuel recovered from an onsite, self-contained sewer system, at Buckeye Partners Linden facility were reported to the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) on Wednesday, according to nj.com.
DEP spokesman Bob Considine said an additional 3,000 gallons of fuel mixed with water were also recovered at the site, but nothing has leaked outside of the liquid-petroleum pipeline company’s property, according to nj.com.
