5 Must-Know 2016-2017 School Dates In Springfield

As the summer winds down, thoughts of books, school buses, and homework start to creep up. Springfield public school students go back to school in less than a month.

Here are five important dates to keep in mind from the upcoming 2016-17 Springfield Public Schools calendar:

Sept. 6, 2016 - First day of school for students

Dec. 26, 2016 through Jan. 2, 2017 - Holiday break

Feb. 17, 2016 through Feb. 20, 2016 - Winter break

April 12, 2016 through April 17, 2016 - Spring break

June 19, 2016 - Last scheduled day of classes
