A FAVORITED BROADWAY RELEASE COMES TO THE DAYTON STAGE

The students of Jonathan Dayton High School are gearing up for this year’s spring musical production, Beauty and the Beast.

Adapted from the hit childhood movie, Beauty and the Beast, this musical tells the story of a prince who is transformed into a hideous beast as punishment for his cruel and selfish ways, and an adventurous young woman named Belle whom he imprisons in his castle. In order to become human again, the Beast must earn Belle's love before it's too late. With such a talented cast bringing bright and energetic tunes such as the highly recognized song “Belle”, and a mix of several different dance styles, this show is sure to please.

Jonathan Dayton High School’s production of Beauty and the Beast will be performed in Halsey Hall, Thursday, March 20th through Sunday, March 23rd, with each evening’s performance beginning at 7:00 pm. There will also be a special matinee performance of Beauty and the Beast at 2:00 pm preceded by a lovely brunch buffet. Tickets for just the brunch are $10.  Tickets for the brunch, meet and greet, and show are $20. Professional photographer pictures with a cast favorite will also be be available for an additional $5. General tickets are $12 for adults, and $8 for students and seniors. 

Tickets are assigned seating, and may be bought in advance at Jonathan Dayton during after school hours, F.M.G., Caldwell, and Sandmeier. Tickets will also be sold at several Springfield recreational events. Limited tickets will also be available at the door on the nights of performances, so order soon! This show has been rated PG.
