Springfield Storm Debris Pickup Set After Nor’easter

Residents have one collection opportunity for brush damaged during the recent storm.

SPRINGFIELD, NJ — Springfield Public Works will make one pass through the township Wednesday, Oct. 7, to collect brush damaged during the Sept. 26-27 storm.

Residents can place storm-damaged brush loose at the curb, in cans or in biodegradable bags, according to the township.

Piles will be inspected before collection, and Public Works said no other material will be accepted.

The collection follows the storm that brought strong winds to the area. As Patch previously reported, the National Weather Service issued a warning that strong winds from the storm could knock down tree limbs.

Residents with questions can call the Department of Public Works at 973-912-2225.
